Second week of the jam


Here we are with week two of the jam. This week we have added some enemies, we had a patrol ground enemy the previous week, now we have a fly type (moving randomly around a fixed area), a flying patrol unit, a hidden enemy that will jump once the player is close enough, and a unit that will fall over the player once they are close enough as well (and thinking about it, I didn't add it to the build this week, my bad).

We have also added another obstacle, the typical block that moves up and down, doesn't let you pass through and hurts when too close.

To fit all of them together, we have added different rooms that can be accessed, go to an opening in a wall and go through it, it will take you to another room, just like magic!

I guess we have to talk about the bug fixes now? There was one in particular I hadn't noticed in the previous build, that allowed the player to jump indefinitely until hitting the ceiling. If you were fast enough pressing the jump key, you would reach the sky! In particular this only affected the mighty jumper of the group, the Bunny. There was another bug that wouldn't let the player deal any damage in their basic attack, which has also been fixed. And talking about that, the player can now attack while in the air, something that was restricted before to only on the ground. Those were all, but more bugs will come, it's all a matter of time and development.

And that's basically all for now. It feels like this week, even though there were more days, less code was added. And it makes sense since there were days I couldn't work on the game. My bad on that, we could have added a bit more for this build. But no worries, those things will be added next week.
